Catalogue on cardiovascular cohorts

This catalogue is a searchable database on cardiovascular cohorts. It will give researchers an overview of a large set of data and/or sample (research)collections, studies and biobanks that are being preserved in the cardiovascular field in the Netherlands. The catalogue displays basic information (e.g. sex, age and type of disease) about the cohorts with the objective of helping researchers to quickly identify data and/or samples that could be included in their research. Furthermore, the contact details for each cohort are available so researchers can request data and/or materials directly from them.

The search in the catalogue can be performed in two forms:

1. By simply typing a keyword at the search field (e.g. DNA or Longitudinal)
2. Through the wizard you can search on all the fields used to describe collections. The wizard allows to build complex searches with multiple search conditions.

We implemented a generic request workflow for access to samples and data.
